Online Social Networking

I've been to two courses now from Business Link : Marketing & Online Social Networks. They were both very good and useful where I learnt a lot! The latter advised the setting up of a Facebook page and to join networking sites like Linked In and Ecademy. I've created accounts with both Linked In and Ecademy after going to a Women in Business networking event. I have received a few leads from all the Business Link courses/events and mainly from Life Coaches! I will continue to go networking and really believe it will help create leads and obtain support

Freefall Meeting

We had a get together at Gavin's house and it was very good. Only Bethany and a fan were there from the band but still it was very useful. I've learnt that you just can't put together a brief without really knowing about the target market. We would have got it so wrong without knowing exactly what they are looking for!

Critique

We had a critique at college last Thursday although we didn't really feel as if we had anything to show. We showed them the posters and album covers that the band liked which showed a certain style. This was useful however everyone still felt that we needed more information before we can proceed. Patrick now feels that there's enough to keep us all occupied and to fulfill the brief it's just now tieing it all together so we can all just get on with things individually. For instance I don't know whether the band wants loads of interactivity on their website or whether that wouldn't be simple enough for their tastes.

So we have arranged a get together between all three of us (myself, Gavin & Louise) and the band to discuss any further questions and for Louise to meet them for the first time. Louise needs to get an idea of who they are and what they want illustration wise.

After the meeting, I will then start to plan what I need to do and when for to fulfill the project management side of the brief

Haven't done anything really for almost a couple of weeks now due to work commitments but will get back to it now and do some work! I want to get a mood board done of lots of things that will help us decide what the band like and don't like. I've had a good day today and have got a lot done. I'm working on a cemetery website at the moment and have been very busy finishing off two websites and updating another. It's good being busy though!!!
